In collaboration with the famous TV presenter Ola Al Fares, Nadine Jewellery was revealed for the first time to an intimate gathering of 40 guests Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Miss Ola Al Fares’s home, in a private presentation over Suhour.
The guest list included Nadine’s family and close friends in addition to friends of hostess Ola Al Fares from Dubai and TV personalities such as Fadia Al Taweel, Nicole Tannoury and Sara Murad to name a few. Other guests included press from Emirates News, ITP Media Group, which owns Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Grazia Middle East, Arabian Business and countless other renown publications, and a handful of social media influencers from the region.
A lavish display of flowers on cue with the brand’s signature colours set the mood in the white marquee situated in the private garden overlooking the pool. Upon arrival, guests were invited to gather in the lounge, which was decorated with ottomans and Arabic coffee tables in a modern majilis-style setting. Here, guests were greeted with a live performance on the Arabic instrument, the Kanoon, as they enjoyed Arabic coffee, dates, and cold drinks such as lavender lemonade and raspberry mocktail.
The main gathering was conducted in a separate dining area of the marquee where long glass tables decorated with the brand’s signature pattern were adorned with picturesque flowers and floating candles.
A prelude to dinner, hostess Miss Ola Al Fares welcomed guests and introduced designer Nadine Attar with a sincere and supportive speech before handing over the microphone to Nadine who introduced guests to the history of the brand before revealing the jewellery collections and sets one by one in a demonstrative speech. Here, High Jewellery sets Canaria and Ventrate as well as core collections Rouh, Sirr, Men and Farah were exhibited for the first time. Before dinner was served, guests were invited to try on the pieces, take photos and discuss the designs directly with Nadine herself.
Whilst dinner was served and conversations continued, guests were entertained with a continuance of the Kanoon player performing in the background. As a small thank you for their support, guests were sent home with a sketch of the signature Rouh diamond pendant decorated with their verbiage of choice by a skilled calligrapher hired for the special occasion. Secured with vellum paper printed with the Nadine Jewellery pattern, each individual sketch was rolled and sealed with gold thread in a vintage inspired packaging playing on the brand’s message of passing on timeless treasures.
The first of many intimate gatherings by Nadine Jewellery, the launch suhour was a memorable evening to say the least and none of it would have been possible without the gracious Miss Ola Al Fares.
