A PHENOMENON 

Defined by a natural phenomenon that offers an entrancing, dramatic and magical display – an aurora is a natural light show most clearly seen at night against the stark black sky. It is caused by a of energetically charged particles, which interact with the earth’s magnetic field at the north and south poles, causing the particles to glow, producing curtains of blue, green and magenta, which light up the sky. 

COLOUR ME HAPPY 

Auroral curtains come in many different colours. Whilst vibrant green is most often the number one colour seen, colours ranging from red to pink, and blue to purple in varied shades of dark and light are also visible to those lucky enough to catch a glimpse. The scientific reason behind the vast array of colours casted into the sky is thanks to the many different compounds like Oxygen and Nitrogen, which make up the atmosphere. When the charged particles that radiate off of the sun collide with the atoms and molecules of the earth’s atmosphere, they excite the atoms producing an awe-inspiring show of lights. As different atoms emit different colours, the visual display may vary, providing unique light shows for onlookers.

Made from natural briolette sapphires comparable to tiny prisms, the Aurora collection is composed of delicate designs decorated with a rainbow of colours. Aligned playfully together with golden threads, the briolette sapphires are accompanied by sparkling diamonds reminiscent of bright stars dancing alongside auroras in the sky.

The Aurora collection includes a bracelet, necklace, earrings and a ring. Available in two gold variations (yellow gold, white gold and rose gold) complimented by briolette sapphires.
